What is healing?
Dear friends,
There are so many methods and healing tecniques. Everyone nowadays proclaims to be a healer her/himself. But what is healing, what is health, sanity and what is illness or not sane? This question needs to be answered before we can start healing.
Illness is usually defined as a state of malfunction of the body or mind in which discomfort or pain is experienced. But a person with a manic-depressive psychosis who is in a phase of mania can be absolutely euphoric and feeling very good. So suffering is no reliable quality for illness. And a Yogi may stop breathing and even his heartbeat may cease for a while. Is this a malfunction of the body? Is a lovers grief an illness because it is painful? Sitting outside in wintertime and getting cold may cause discomfort. Is this a disease? Is old age a disease and death an illness that should be cured?
There is one quality all states of illness have in common. Illness is the limitation of ones abilities, it is a kind of contraction into a tight coccoon. The physical ill person has not the physical power to do all he wants to do, the mentally ill is not free to think and feel what he wants. Experiencing illness is runnig against the wall of lacking abilities. For the healthy person there are no limitations experienced in his/her state.
So healing means to make free. A really healed person, a whole person, a holy person is liberated and totally free.
Our material body has its own limitations. Our mind has less limitations. Our soul is even more free. The evolution to the soul, to pure limitless consciousness is the true essence of becoming healed, of becoming whole, complete, perfect, holy and unlimited divine liberated consciousness.
Healing is much more than getting rid of a nasty symptom. Healing is evolution to Godhood.
Who is healing? Only God is healing.
